So, recently I was invited to a Gold Party. I hadn’t heard of these before but apparently they are all the rage right now because the price of gold is really high right now. I declined the invitation to the party because I felt that there would be too many people taking cuts (also I had a hot date scheduled with my husband for that night). Anyways, it put the idea in my head and so I started researching places in the San Diego area that were reputable. I also wanted some places that would give me something for stones that were inlaid in some of my gold jewelry. I went through all my old jewelry and got together my gold pieces I didn’t want anymore as well as my silver pieces, since some of these places will buy silver as well, then I went to the Almighty Google and found two places. I called both and asked what price they PAID for gold and if they accounted for stones of value. Note: some places will quote you the daily price of gold but that’s not what they actually PAY you for it. I picked the place that paid the higher amount and made an appointment and today after 15 mins walked away with $974 in cash for my old gold and silver jewelry that I don’t wear and never will wear and don’t have much of an attachment to. That’s a score in my book.
